CLEMENTINE WINE BARREL WHISKY  |  CASK STRENGTH​Collaboration with Artist Shanshan Wu

Crafted with premium clementines from Miaoli, the process begins by brewing them into a rich fruit wine, which is then aged in oak casks. This allows the barrels to fully absorb the clementine's crisp, vibrant fruitiness, delicate sweetness, and warm citrus aromas. After the clementine wine is emptied, a single malt whisky raw spirit—already aged for nearly nine years—is poured into the same casks for secondary maturation. Through the layers of time and craftsmanship, the inherent woody notes of the oak interweave beautifully with the clementine's fruitiness and honeyed sweetness. The result not only showcases a bright, elegant citrus fragrance but also harbors a fine, lingering sweet finish, making the body rounder, richer, and uniquely expressive of Taiwan's local terroir.

Because Miaoli's clementines have a short harvest season and limited production, their intense aroma and delicate sweetness make this expression exceptionally rare and distinctive. For this release, a cross-disciplinary collaboration with artist Shanshan Wu brings the vitality of the clementine to life through exquisite brushstrokes. At first glance, the artwork captures a plump, bright clementine; yet upon closer inspection, hidden stories and clever details reveal themselves within each segment, offering a new discovery with every glance.

Only by slowing down and savoring it mindfully can one truly experience the rich, wondrous layers of the liquid—from the fresh citrus aroma and naturally full fruit sweetness to the long finish woven with oak, vanilla, honey, and ripe fruit notes.
