This cask-strength whisky undergoes a double maturation process. It is initially stored in charred virgin American white oak barrels for over 7 years, before being moved to plum wine-seasoned casks. These casks were seasoned using a 5-year-old batch of plum wine from Bunnyville Distillery. The plums used were preserved with pure coarse salt to retain their natural, rustic flavor. This method infuses the cask with a strong fruity aroma, resulting in a delightful blend of whisky and plum. The scent is distinctly plum, while the taste carries notes of wood and salt.
